Sacred Sites Mural Arts Tour in Philadelphia

  Philadelphia's renowned murals go beyond the city's exterior surfaces.  The city's sacred places house hidden gems, and Partners has joined with the Mural Arts Program to highlight these works of art on a winter tour. 

  The tour covers two historic religious buildings featuring murals, frescos, and mosaics in their sanctuaries, in addition to the extraordinary murals painted on the buildings of West Philadelphia.

  The tour is January 12, and departs from the Independence Visitors Center at Sixth and Market Streets at 11am.  Transportation is provided.  Light refreshments are included within the $32 ticket price.

To register, contact Marisa Starr at the Mural Arts Program at 215-685-0754.  Please arrive at least 30 minutes early in case of long lines at the Visitor Center.  Dress warmly; the tour will take place rain or shine in an open-air, covered trolley.
