Sacred Places Mural Arts Tour Invites Public to Experience Public Art in Historic Religious Buildings Partners for Sacred Places and the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program Launch Spring Series
The tours feature bold murals, dynamic works of stained glass, and serene sculptures indoors as well as some of the city's famous 2,800 outdoor murals. The dates and neighborhoods are as follows: Saturday, April 19 - North Philadelphia* Saturday, May 17 - Center City Saturday, June 21 - West Philadelphia
The tours run from 10am - 12pm, and depart from the Independence Visitors Center at Sixth and Market Streets. Transportation is provided. Tickets are $30. *Artist Richard Watson will be leading the tour at Church of the Advocate.
